Mount Falcon is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for full and part-time skilled chefs of all grades to join our team. The ideal candidate, will have previous experience in a fast paced kitchen, serving breakfast, lunch, a la carte and bar. A passion for outstanding local produce and creativity is a must.. With both full-time and part-time options available, this is an opportunity you can't afford to miss! The main purpose of this role will be the delivery of high-quality service across several Food and Beverage outlets. The position would suit an experienced Chef with relevant Restaurant or Hotel experience We have openings on different locations for chefs of different levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a hotel or busy restaurant environment
- Holds valid working visa/passport to work in Rep Ireland
- HACCP & hygiene awareness
- Be able to work under pressure whilst also producing excellent cuisine
- Confident working on your own initiative but also as part of a successful team
- A passion for cooking and want to progress your career.
- Fluent English, both written and oral
- Be a real team player but can also work on own initiative.
- A strong willingness to learn.

Restaurant Manager (full-time)
Job Responsibilities:
Pleases customers by providing a pleasant dining experience and coordinate all activities to deliver quality products and services in the following hotel outlets; Kitchen Restaurant, Boathole Bar, In-Room Dining, Group Events and Weddings.
Job Duties:
- To ensure the smooth day to day running of the restaurant
- Ability to work evening shift and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff for the efficient operation of all outlets
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as reservation count and menu changes
- Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
- Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services
- Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties
- Coordinate and document reservations. Organize special events in the restaurant such as receptions and social gatherings
- Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings
- Move throughout the facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
- Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality
- Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency
- Maintain profitability of outlet to support overall hotel operation. Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse)
- Ensure stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies
- Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation. Develop and implement cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures
- Utilize computer to accurately charge customers, Input and retrieve data and change computer procedures using complex series of keypunches to program system
- Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met
- Ensure compliance with all laws and the health and safety procedures
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for anticipated business during shift
- Coach staff to adhere to outlet service standards. Maintain cleanliness of all outlets-restaurant, Lounge, Service areas, Room service and Staff grooming
- Solicit feedback from guests concerning food, beverages, service and improvement ideas
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Enhances department reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Bar Staff (Full-time)
Mount Falcon Estate is currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for their trade to join our team. A contract for a full time and part time bar staff is open. Previous experience in a bar or a restaurant is an advantage; this role involves weekends and late evenings/nights. This role will involve taking orders, serving drinks and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided at all times. A team player with the ability to work on their own A real people’s person that enjoys engaging with the public The ideal candidate will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a similar role. Waiting Staf (Full-time)
Mount Falcon Estate is currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for their trade to join our team. We are looking for a part time Function staff member that is hard-working and has a passion for delivering the highest standard of customer service. Ideally the candidate would have a year experience on waiter/waitressing; however, this is not essential.
Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- A warm, patient, and outgoing personality which would appeal to customers.
- Self-motivation, punctuality, positive working attitudes and the ability to work in a team are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with large groups of people effectively & efficiently.
