Summer Dining


On the 17th of March 2020 The Mount Falcon Estate closed its doors.  It was with a very heavy heart and much trepidation that this was done.  The recent covid-19 pandemic has changed our world and it has certainly left an indelible mark on the hospitality sector.  Due to government covid-19 laws Mount Falcon found it unable to open its Bar and Restaurant but they forged ahead and bravely re-imagined themselves, taking inspiration from nature on its 100 acre estate and invested substantially in building an open-air bamboo tent on the lawn with a tent bar and a specially commissioned Assador BBQ alfresco kitchen.  Tom Doyle is Mount Falcons head chef whose cooking style is very natural, ‘I don’t like to have it too contrived, even on a plate.  I like it to sit naturally; I don’t want it to look like a creation’. As a chef Tom is ingredient led and seasonally driven.  BBQ is a new direction for this fine dining chef but he enjoys a challenge. ‘You have to be able to adapt as a chef, be it in a recession or a pandemic. Our menus now have different themes.  They are crowd pleasing, this summer is massively family oriented for us, pure enjoyment after the lockdown. I believe that we follow trends too much as opposed to being yourself. Just be humble and do what you do with conviction.’

Friday, Saturday and Wednesday nights are our big live music nights at Mount Falcon.  They are dinner show nights in our open-air tent with multi award winning artists, Buck Taylor, Keith McDonald & Lorraine McDonald.
