Angling
Mount Falcon is destined to be the angling 'hub' of the North Western Region and offers a complete range of angling packages to suit all requirements. Adjoining the estate, guests can enjoy two miles of private double-bank fishing at the Mount Falcon Fishery, located on the famous River Moy, a mixed salmon fishery which is ideal for all fishing methods: fly, bait and spinning. Within the estate itself a lake will provide the location for the Mount Falcon Fly-Fishing Academy.
Apart from Salmon fishing The North Western Region also offers some of the best trout, coarse and sea angling in Europe.

Beaches in Mayo
Some countries struggle to achieve a handful of Blue Flag beaches in an area, but for the residents of Mayo, they can hold their heads high.
Mayo has 10 EU Blue Flag beaches, located at
Bartra, Clare Island, Dooega, Dugort, Elly Bay, Golden Strand, Keel, Mulranny, Old Head and Ross Strand.
The Blue Flag is an EU standard which through its award guarantees these beaches are clean, safe, sandy and easy to access.
Water sports are widely available with particularly good surfing and diving conditions. In addition, dotted along the coastline are a number of adventure centres.
We have local maps available for all our guests, and our local knowledge will help you choose the best option for the time you have available to spend in the area.
If you would like to blow the cobwebs away and head off on an energetic walk in the area, there are official guidebooks for trails such as The Western Way, The Foxford Way and The Bangor Trail available.
For more information on the activities in the area, we recommend you visit www.irelandwest.ie or www.themoyvalley.com
