The first Salmon caught on Mount Falcon fisheries was caught on Monday May 7th, 2007 by Padraig Corrigan from Navan in Co. Meath and weighted 8lbs and 4oz.

Mount Falcon Country House Hotel in Ballina Co Mayo, played host to a number of American journalists and tour operators who participated in the inaugural flight from New York to Ireland West Airport Knock on Monday May 28th,2007. The group were joined for dinner in the Kitchen restaurant of Mount Falcon by Tourism representatives from the area, before retiring to their rooms, the group enjoyed a lively traditional Irish music session in the “Boathole” Bar which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
