During the month of September, the fishing was at times difficult with few fish showing, the resident fish were extremely reluctant to come to fly or bait. However, on other days, when the fish ‘switched on’ our anglers enjoyed some excellent fishing. On the Owenduff and Erriiff anglers who were lucky enough to be there, as the water was rising or falling after rain, had sport with both sea-trout and salmon.

Season Total 713 Salmon and Grilse
The Semple party from Belfast had excellent fishing over their 3 days. In total they caught 46 salmon (Saturday : 4 fish, Sunday : 16, Monday : 26), all but 8 being returned. The fish were taken mainly on shrimp and spinner. The annual BBQ was held on the last day of the season and good numbers of anglers turned out for the last day. Heavy rains pushed the river up quickly, and only 3 fish were taken. The honour of catching the last salmon of the season went to John Maloney, father of Alan (owner and general manager), and Shane (Sales Manger). Coincidently Shane took the first fish of the season at Mount Falcon. Fishing the 3 Rivers package, Martin Davison took a cracking fish on the Erriff of around 15lb (returned). The fish put a strong fight on the single handed rod before being netted by Martins wife Maeve. For Information contact Stuart Price Fishery Manager. 087 2831776 or email@example.com
